Growing up Apostle Timothy C. Chiles Jr. traveled the nation ministering alongside his father in various churches and tent revivals experiencing the miraculous power of God touching the lives of many. He surrounded himself with music and song where he basked in the glory of God's anointing.
Tim faithfully served as the Minister of Music for nine years and became a licensed minister in the Lord’s church where he continued to cultivate the ministry that God had placed within him. In 2005, He heard the voice of the Lord calling him to shepherd His people. God gave him the name According to His Word Worship Center and directed him to preach JESUS! He immediately returned home to tell his wife Gina what God had in store for their lives. In 2007, God spoke again and began to make provision for His vision and out of obedience, on October 14th 2007, According to His Word Worship Center- Vancouver was birthed. In October of 2011, during a conference hosted by AHW, Apostle Timothy C. Chiles Sr. passed the mantle to his son Timothy C. Chiles Jr. installing him as the President of an international outreach ministry called Better Life Crusades- originally established in 1972. In addition to Better Life Crusades, Apostle Chiles has birthed our Spanish Church- According to His Word- Last Call and recently our Oregon based ministry According to His Word- Salem.
Apostle Timothy Chiles is not only an anointed psalmist of the Lord, but God has graced him to move in the office of an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher, and he and his wife Pastor Gina Chiles currently serve as Senior Pastors of According to His Word- Vancouver. In the services that they minister in- people have been saved, healed, and delivered through the ministry of song, teachings and the preached word! Their burden is to see souls come to the full knowledge of Jesus Christ! Their charge is to help souls gain a personal relationship with Jesus by becoming true worshippers, understanding KINGDOM, and by applying the Living Word of God.
The bible says in John 4:23- “But the hour cometh and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth: for the father seeketh such to worship him.”
Tim Chiles loves God with his whole heart and he desires to serve God’s vision faithfully and humbly. "If we decrease, then the true gospel will be preached and we will see Jesus increased and glorified". He believes, without a shadow of doubt that “It is not about them, It’s about JESUS!” Apostle Tim has been married to Gina Chiles for 26 years and are the proud parents of 5 beautiful children and have now welcomed 6 grandchildren.
Pastor Crystal is the oldest of five children born to Apostle C. Chiles Sr. and Marlene Elizabeth (Avery) Chiles. She grew up in Rochester NY and has traveled and lived in states on the east, mid and west coasts and now resides in Salem, Oregon. While she hasn’t birthed any children, she is honored to have three sons, three daughters and five grandchildren given to her from the Father above.
She was raised up seeing miracles, signs and wonders and knows the presence and power of God. At a young age she was able to travel with her family to witness God’s power at revival meetings and anointed gatherings of the people of God. Pastor Crystal also knows what it is to live in darkness. From the age of 16 she began to live a life of alcoholism, sexual perversion, drug abuse and theft. She experienced the grief of miscarriages and the damage caused by the spirit of anger and fighting. Her testimony is one of being set free indeed with all chains broken and all yokes destroyed!
Pastor Crystal was trained by Apostle C. Chiles Jr. and Prophet Gina R. Chiles of According to His Word Worship Center – Vancouver, Washington. She was taught and discipled over 10 years and grew in wisdom, faith and power. She has led the singles, ushers and praise and worship team ministries and was installed as pastor in 2016. She lives by example to encourage men and women how to live up to their full potential in Christ Jesus, through preaching, teaching and counseling, using humor, warmth, transparency and strength. She is a teacher, preacher, speaker, worshipper, intercessor, counselor, role model, mentor and soon to be author.
She is also the administrator for Better Life Crusades Next Generation. This ministry mantel was passed down to her and her siblings from their father. Their mission is to teach and preach the saving; healing; and delivering power of the Cross, making true worshipers of every nation, kindred and tongue. To raise up a multi-cultural army of disciplined believers, thousands strong. Her calling and ministry overlap into the market place through her entrepreneurial efforts as CEO and founder of Kingdom Truth Apparel and Crystal-Clear Coach & Consult.
Pastor Crystal believes that everyone can reach their soul purpose to live holy and righteous as sons in the Kingdom of God. She is persuaded and confident that Jesus is the answer for the world today. Her assignment is to preach the gospel (good news) to those in the darkness. Her compassion is for those forgotten, cast aside, abused and mistreated. She focuses on the broken, sick and hopeless. She does not preach men’s tradition, but rightly divides the word of truth by the Spirit of God. She has been raised up for a time such as this and for this generation.
Pastor Neahe A. Miller grew up in Portland, Oregon as the oldest of three boys raised by a single mother. Growing up with little guidance and surrounded with drug paraphernalia, Neahe began to sell drugs at the tender age of nine years old. Not long after, Neahe began to hang out with the gang members in his neighborhood and soon found himself going down the wrong path.
At the age of eleven Neahe was placed in Foster Care where he would spend the next few years as his mother fought to overcome a drug addiction. Too old to live in the Drug Rehab Center with his Mother and younger siblings, Neahe found himself separated from his family and longing for a place to belong.
At the age of thirteen Neahe visited a youth church and heard about the power of Jesus for the first time. The thought of Jesus sounded appealing to Neahe but it wasn't enough to cause him to change his life and surrender it to Jesus Christ at the time.
Reunited with his family at the age of fourteen as his Mother celebrated three years of sobriety, Neahe finally began to feel like his life was going in the right direction and at the age of fifteen he asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior.
Over the years Neahe struggled to live a righteous lifestyle and soon found himself dealing drugs and hanging out with old friends again. Neahe became depressed and felt insignificant despite his mother’s attempts to surround him with positive male role models and mentors.
In 2001 Neahe graduated from Jefferson High School where he met his lovely wife Nedra. As two of them dated for the next year, Nedra constantly encouraged Neahe to give Jesus a legitimate try. A year later while hanging out at a park with friends, Neahe all of a sudden lost his feeling of complacency and went to sit on a bench away from his friends. It was at the moment that Neahe surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. After many lonely nights of hurt and pain, Neahe finally found his release and sense of love and acceptance that he longed for his entire life. Not long after Neahe married the love of his life, Nedra Miller at the age of nineteen.
Neahe is a worshiper at heart who is sincere with his gift and diligent in his service with it. The very Gospel that saved and transformed his life is the very same Gospel that gives him the inspiration to write and recite his Poetry/Spoken Word. With a heart for the people like no other, and a rough upbringing that involved the streets of gang life, his testimony is one that inspires hope in others who may be society’s castaways.
Neahe Ashain uses his gift to inspire other believers to chase after Christ and be unashamed of the Gospel, and to encourage unbelievers to believe in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
His humility and contentment in being a servant alone is evident as this leaders’ evangelistic spirit is one that drives others to catch fire. Through conviction and compassion, he conveys the message of life in Christ through exhortation, poetry, and music and sets the bar for any artist going for Godly impact in the hip hop culture.
Now Neahe and Nedra Miller have been married for 15 years and serve as Associate Pastors at According to His Word Worship Center-Vancouver. Pastor Neahe and Nedra Miller seek to please God in all they do. Their hope is that God will get the glory in every aspect of their lives.
